Daca através de vidros (Bangladeche) / Dhaka through the glass (Bangladesh)

Daca é a capital de Bangladeche, um país subdesenvolvido rodeado pela Índia e Myanmar.

Por ser um país pobre, com a população a viver com cerca de 1 dólar por dia, não me foi aconselhado andar pela cidade. O ideal será mulheres não andarem pela cidade sem a companhia de homens e é preferível andar também com alguém que fale bengalês - são muito poucos os que dominam o inglês neste país.

Para além disso, é um país maioritariamente muçulmano no qual se dá bastante importância ao cobrir do corpo feminino.

É uma cidade com graves problemas de poluição, segundo me disse um local, o que provoca à população graves problemas de saúde. O trânsito é outro problema da cidade, na qual se pode levar cerca de 2 horas a percorrer a distância de 20 km.

Uma vez que não andei pelas ruas, deixo apenas algumas fotografias que consegui tirar no pouco contacto que tive com o exterior.

Dhaka is the capital of Bangladesh, an underdeveloped country surrounded by India and Myanmar.

As it is a poor country, with the population living on about USD $1 per day, I was advised not to walk around the city. Women should not walk around the city without the company of men and it is also preferable to walk with someone who speaks Bengali - there are very few who dominate English in this country.

In addition, it is a predominantly Muslim country in which much importance is given to the covering of the female body.

It is a city with serious pollution problems, as a local told me, which causes to the population serious health problems. The traffic is another problem of the city, in which it can take about 2 hours to cover the distance of 20 km.

Since I did not walk the streets, I'm leaving here only some photographs that I took through some windows.
