Vulcão Taal - Ilha Luzon (Filipinas) / Taal volcano - Luzon island (Philippines)

Nas Filipinas há uma ilha dentro de um lago, dentro de um vulcão, num lago, numa ilha.. :)

Apesar de ter ficado hospedada em Manila, a capital das Filipinas, não podia deixar de ir visitar esta famosa ilha.

A Iha Luzon fica a cerca de 50 km de distância de Manila. É possível ir de transportes públicos ou reservando uma tour através de hotéis.

Depois, é necessário apanhar um barco tradicional para atravessar o Lago Taal. Demora cerca de 20 minutos e a paisagem é linda :)

Do outro lado, um pequeno paraíso esperava por nós :)

Na Ilha de Luzon existe então o Crater Lake Resort, um pequeno empreendimento turístico com piscinas de água quente e fria, um SPA e um pequeno restaurante. Este resort oferece também a possibilidade de ir até ao Lago da Cratera num pequeno cavalo, uma vez que a pé o percurso leva aproximadamente 1 hora.

Bem, de cavalo lá fomos nós! :) O custo adicional deste passeio foram 500 pesos (cerca de 9€).

Pelo caminho pude observar algumas habituações muito rudimentares, basicamente todas feitas de canas e troncos de árvores. Os locais acenavam e as crianças brincavam pela natureza.

Cerca de 40 minutos depois, finalmente o Lago da Cratera do vulcão Taal. :)

Neste lago há então outra ilha vulcânica, Vulcan Point. E, dentro dela, há outro lago! :)

As vistas são de perder a respiração :)

Hora de regressar resort e mergulhar nas piscinas para suportar o calor filipino.  :)

Depois de almoçar no resort o tradicional prato filipino adobo de galinha, foi hora de regressar a Manila.

 Pelo caminho é possível aproveitar a viagem para comprar fruta fresca nas várias bancas de rua :)

In Philippines there is an island inside a lake, inside a volcano, in a lake, inside of an island .. :)

Although I stayed in Manila, the capital of the Philippines, I couldn't miss visiting this famous island.

Luzon island is about 50 km away from Manila. It is possible to go there by public transport or you can book a tour through hotels.

Then it is necessary to take a traditional boat to cross Lake Taal. It takes about 20 minutes and the view through the journey is wonderful :)

On the other side, a little paradise was waiting for us :)

In Luzon island there is the Crater Lake Resort, a small tourist resort with hot and cold pools, a SPA and a small restaurant. This resort also offers the possibility of going to Crater Lake on a small horse, since on foot the route takes approximately 1 hour.

Well, horse riding it was! :) The additional cost of this tour is 500 pesos (about 9 €).

Along the way I observed some very rudimentary houses, basically all made of reeds and tree trunks. 

About 40 minutes later, finally the Crater Lake of Taal volcano. :)

In this lake there is another volcanic island, Vulcan Point. And inside of it, there's another lake! :)

The views are breathtaking :)

Time to return resort and swim in the pools to handle the Philippine heat. :)

After having lunch at the resort - I had the traditional Filipino dish, Adobo chicken - it was time to return to Manila.

During the trip it is possible to buy fresh fruit in the various street stalls :)
