Singapura é a capital e a única cidade do país com o mesmo nome.

Está sempre muito calor ao longo de todo o ano - é um calor húmido que nos dá a sensação de que acabámos de tomar banho - e as chuvas são frequentes e repentinas. É muito comum ver pessoas usarem guarda-chuvas na rua, não só porque as chuvas surgem sem aviso, mas essencialmente para se protegerem do sol.

É uma cidade extremamente limpa - a mais limpa do mundo, na qual é ilegal mastigar pastilhas elásticas (!) - cheia de espaços verdes no meio de edifícios citadinos.

Como estive dois dias nesta cidade-estado, procurei ver não só os must-see da cidade mas também pequenos segredos da cidade. :)

Começando pelas zonas turísticas, a zona da marina é algo a não perder!

É nesta zona que se situa o famoso hotel em forma de navio com a piscina no terraço, o Marina Bay Sands.

Este hotel tem vista para uma das maiores atracções de Singapura: Gardens by Bay. Estes jardins estão abertos das 5h da manhã às 2h da manhã.

O acesso é feito a pé desde a marina, através de uma ponte pedestre que é, ela própria, uma obra de arte.

À hora que o visitei - por volta da 1h da manhã - o parque estava praticamente vazio, apenas com um ou dois casais de namorados, talvez por ser um sítio mágico durante a noite. :)

O jardim, à semelhança da cidade de Singapura, é muito limpo e muito cuidado. Tem labirintos sem fim, todos eles verdes. Pelo caminho podemos encontrar alguns efeitos de iluminação e lagos até encontrarmos, finalmente, as famosas árvores gigantes.

A ideia que temos enquanto andamos neste jardim é de que estamos no filme Avatar. 

Vista para a maior Roda Gigante do mundo

Há um espectáculo de 30 minutos, com efeitos luminosos nas árvores, duas vezes por dia, ao fim da tarde.

A entrada neste parque é gratuita.

Um dos segredos de Singapura é a rua Haji Lane.

Haji Lane é uma rua estreita cheia de graffitis e lojas/bares hippies/alternativos.

É uma rua onde podemos encontrar um pouco de tudo - e nada é de estranhar. Deixo-vos aqui algumas fotos. :)

Outro dos segredos de Singapura, considerada a cidade mais cara do mundo, é a rua Bugis que é, basicamente, um mercado onde podemos encontrar de tudo a preços muito mais baixos. É também possível tentar baixar ainda mais os preços, se os considerarmos altos. É muito estreita e é uma pequena loucura andar lá dentro.

Dica: Comecem a aventura com um sumo natural. Existem de todas as frutas imaginárias e custam apenas $1 SGD

Não tinha nenhuma ideia sobre Singapura e, honestamente, apaixonei-me logo que cheguei. É uma cidade muito limpa e harmoniosa. Os jardins dão um cheiro fresco à cidade e os edifícios são muito originais. E o calor, ainda que húmido, dá o toque final. :)

Singapore is the capital and the only city of the country with the same name.

The weather is warm all year and rains are frequent and sudden. It is very common for people to use umbrellas on the street - not only because rains come without warning, but essentially to protect themselves from the sun.

It is an extremely clean city - the cleanest in the world, it is even illegal to chewing gum (!) - filled with green spaces in the middle of city buildings.

I stayed two days in this city, so I looked not only for the must-see but also for small secrets of the city.

Starting from tourist areas, the marina area is something not to be missed!

This is the area where you will find the famous ship-shaped hotel with a rooftop pool, Marina Bay Sands.

This hotel has view to Gardens by Bay. These gardens are open from 5 a.m. to 2 a.m.

The access is made through a pedestrian bridge which is, itself, a piece of art.

I visited this gardens around 1 a.m - the park was practically empty, with only one or two couples, perhaps because it is magical at night. :)

The garden, as Singapore, is very clean and very well maintained. It has endless labyrinths, all of them green. Along the way you can find some lighting effects and lakes and, finally, the famous giant trees.

When we are in this gardens, it feels like we are in Avatar movie.

There is a 30 minute show with light effects in the trees twice a day in the late afternoon.

The entrance for this park is free.

One of Singapore's secrets is a Haji Lane street.

Haji Lane is a narrow street full of graffiti and hippie / alternative shops / bars.

It's a street where you can find a little bit of everything - and nothing is surprising. Take a look :)

Another of the secrets of Singapore, considered to be the most expensive city in the world, is the Bugis street which is basically a market where you can find everything with lower prices and where you can bargain if you consider them high. It's too narrow and it's a little adventure to walk inside.

Tip: Start the adventure with a natural juice. There are every single fruit you can imagine and they only cost $ 1 SGD

I had no idea about Singapore before, and honestly, I fell in love as soon as I arrived. It is a very clean and harmonious city. The gardens give a fresh smell to the city and the buildings are very original. And the warm weather, even if humid, gives the final touch. :)
